Atlas Research Fellowship

The Atlas Research Fellowship is a free, selective research program for high school students. The four-week remote fellowship introduces students to research methodology, real-world data analysis and independent research. Fellows develop an original research project while receiving guidance and mentorship. The 2026 fellowship had 25 fellows across 20 countries.

High school / secondary school student. International students are eligible. No prior research experience required. Interest in academic research and willingness to develop an independent project. Ability to participate in online sessions and complete independent assignments. The Fellowship is selective and requires an application. Exact application components, including written questions/essays and any interview, may vary by cohort and should be checked when the next application opens. The current cohort is closed; the waitlist for the next cohort is open.
