Camp Rising Sun (CRS)

A four-week international leadership development program run by the Louis August Jonas Foundation (LAJF) for teenagers aged 15–16. Participants from around the world live together on the CRS campus in New York, develop ethical and compassionate leadership skills, initiate projects, participate in discussions and collaborative activities, and build a long-term international peer community.

Fully funded participation; intensive leadership development; international and cross-cultural experience; project-based learning; development of initiative, teamwork and social responsibility; lifelong international alumni community; access to further LAJF educational and scholarship opportunities.

Applicants must be at least 15 when their camp session starts and must not turn 17 by the end of the session. Applicants must be able to communicate in English and commit to the full four-week residential session. Applications are open worldwide. One recommendation letter is required from an adult who knows the applicant well and is not a family member. Selected applicants are invited to an interview. International campers need a valid passport and visa if required.
