International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)

The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) is one of the world's most prestigious international chemistry competitions for high school students. The first IChO was held in 1968, and the competition has expanded to more than 80 countries across all continents. Students compete in advanced theoretical and practical chemistry. IChO is not a direct-entry individual programme. Students must qualify through their country's national selection system and become members of their national team.

Must be a secondary/high school student. Must meet the IChO's age and educational eligibility requirements. Must qualify through the national selection process. Each country normally sends a team of 4 contestants. Students cannot register directly as individual participants. Central Asian students participate through their respective national olympiad and selection systems.
