ISB Spelling Bee International

ISB Spelling Bee International is a global online English spelling competition for students aged 5–14. Participants are divided into five age groups and compete through three levels: Preliminary Level, Second Level and International Level. Students who qualify can advance to the next levels without paying an additional participation fee. All stages of the competition are conducted online.

Participation helps students strengthen English spelling, expand their vocabulary and improve overall language accuracy. The competition provides preparation materials containing more than 1,000 words, exercises and six online practice tests. Students gain international competition experience by competing with participants from different countries, while all participants receive certificates. Winners may also receive medals, citations, certificates and prizes.

Students aged 5–14 from any country are eligible to participate, regardless of their school, curriculum or language of instruction. School registration is not required, and students may register individually. Applicants need to provide their name, date of birth, grade, school, country, contact details and email address. Registration is completed after submitting the form and paying the $20 participation fee. The competition is fully online, and participants choose one available Preliminary Level examination date.
