Indigo Research Program

Indigo Research is an international research mentorship organization offering online and in-person research programs for high school students. Students can choose their own research topic and work with professors, PhD researchers, and academic mentors from leading universities.

1:1 research mentorship with professors, researchers, and PhD-level experts. Opportunity to choose your own research topic and field of study. Development of an original research project under the guidance of an academic mentor. Development of research methodology, critical thinking, data analysis, and academic writing skills. Creation of an individual research paper, which may be prepared for publication. Opportunity to present research findings at the Indigo Academic Conference. Research experience that can strengthen a student's university application and academic portfolio. Access to an international community of students and researchers. International students are eligible, including students from Central Asian countries. Full and partial scholarships are available for selected programs, including IRIS.

Primarily designed for high school students. Previous research experience is generally not required. Applicants should have a strong interest in their chosen academic field and be prepared to work independently on a research project. Sufficient English proficiency is required to participate in sessions, communicate with mentors, and complete academic work. Students must be able to attend online meetings regularly and complete independent work between sessions. Some projects may require basic knowledge or specific skills relevant to the chosen research field. Additional age, academic, or program-specific requirements may apply to individual programs and scholarship opportunities. IRIS NextGen Scholarship: available to high school students aged 14–19, of all nationalities, with applicants accepted worldwide.
