iResearch Institute — Summer Research Program

An intensive virtual summer research program for motivated high-school and early-college students. Participants learn research methodology and develop an original research project with mentor guidance, using data analysis, programming and scientific methods. Students conclude the program with a research presentation and paper.

Individual project mentorship; research methods and scientific writing; work with real datasets; development of Python/R, AI/ML and bioinformatics skills; research paper and presentation; preparation for science fairs and research competitions. Previous mentors have included students from MIT, Stanford, Columbia and other universities.

Applicants must have completed 8th grade by the start of the program; early-college students may also apply. The application requires a completed application, student/parent signatures, an official transcript, extracurricular activities list and four written responses. Previous research experience is not required, but foundational science knowledge is expected. International students are welcome to apply.
