International Chemistry & Art Competition (ICAAC)

An international competition for school-aged students 5–19 years old combining chemistry and visual art. Students create an original artwork communicating a chemistry-related theme and provide a description explaining the chemistry behind it. The competition is open worldwide.

Combines scientific understanding with creativity; develops visual communication and scientific thinking; provides international exposure and the opportunity to receive recognition and cash prizes. Entries are judged on communication of the theme, originality, visual impact and chemistry concepts.

School-aged students 5–19 worldwide are eligible. Artwork must be entirely original and created by the student. Accepted formats include drawing, painting, mixed media, collage and photography. Digitally created artwork using Adobe, AI, Canva or similar tools is not permitted; AI use is strictly prohibited. One individual entry per student is allowed, plus participation in one group artwork. JPG/PNG, maximum 2 MB.
