HKUST Pre-University Program

An international summer program for high school students at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2026, more than 800 students from 32 countries and regions participated in 16 specialized programs across four pillars: credit-bearing courses, thematic-based programs, collaborative corporate programs, and the Summer Bootcamp for Polymath.

University-level learning; HKUST faculty instruction; hands-on STEM projects; AI and technology; entrepreneurship; interdisciplinary learning; capstone projects; interaction with corporate partners; international community; university credits available for selected courses.

In 2026, the main program was available to students at Year 11 / Grade 10 / Form 4 or above; exact requirements varied by program. Some programs had additional conditions, such as being 16+ for residential accommodation. Some programs became full before the formal deadline.
