Jefferson Scholarship

The Jefferson Scholarship is a prestigious undergraduate scholarship offered by the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia (UVA). It recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and engaged citizenship.

The scholarship is designed to cover the full cost of attendance at UVA for four years, including tuition, accommodation, meals, books, and other eligible expenses. Scholars also benefit from leadership development, international travel, career development, research opportunities, and a network of scholars and alumni.

Applicants must be in their final year of high school and be nominated by an eligible school. Selection focuses on academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful community engagement. International students, including those from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, may be eligible. However, their schools must be able to nominate them, and students must separately gain admission to UVA.
