Description
Summer Science Program (SSP) is a highly selective five-week residential STEM programme founded in 1959. Students work in small teams on authentic scientific research projects under the guidance of scientists and faculty. The programme is hosted on research university campuses in the United States and combines approximately 60 hours of research per week with lectures, laboratory work and a residential community experience.

Requirements
• Primarily for current high school juniors, typically Grade 11.
• Applicants must be at least 15 but not yet 19 during the programme.
• Current freshmen, sophomores and seniors are not eligible.
• Required coursework must be completed by June.
• Astrophysics: physics + precalculus, or calculus if physics is not taken.
• Bacterial Genomics: biology + Algebra II.
• Biochemistry: biology + chemistry + strong algebra.
• Cell Biology: biology + Algebra II.
• Coursework must be completed for credit and a grade; self-study does not satisfy the requirement.
• International students are eligible to apply.
