High school students worldwide. The work must be solely authored by the student, unpublished outside school and not under consideration elsewhere. Topics must fall within the humanities and social sciences; empirical research is generally unsuitable. The manuscript must present an original argument rather than merely summarize existing scholarship. Each manuscript requires a separate submission with a $180 non-refundable fee. No recommendation letter or interview is listed as mandatory.
