Description
UWC National Committee Scholarships provide students with the opportunity to study the two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at one of the United World Colleges (UWC). Students apply through their national committee, which selects candidates based on academic potential, motivation, personal qualities, commitment to UWC values and financial need. Successful students may receive full, partial or all-inclusive financial support.

Requirements
Applicants must apply through the UWC National Committee in their country of residence or citizenship.
For Kazakhstan, applicants must be 16–17 years old on September 1, 2026 for the 2026 entry cycle.
Applicants should be in the final two years of secondary education.
Kazakhstan applicants must be citizens of Kazakhstan and/or permanent residents of Kazakhstan.
Strong academic performance is important, but UWC also evaluates motivation, leadership potential, commitment to UWC values, intercultural understanding, sustainability and community impact.
English fluency is not required at the application stage, although basic English proficiency and willingness to improve are recommended.
Applicants must complete the application themselves.
Academic transcripts and other requested supporting documents must be submitted.
The application is completed in English; references and academic transcripts may be provided in Kazakh or Russian for the Kazakhstan National Committee.
