World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC)

An annual world championship for high school debaters, bringing together national teams from more than 70 countries. It is one of the largest and most prestigious international school debate competitions.

Participation is through a national team, rather than an open individual application. Students must go through their country's national selection/team formation process and meet WSDC eligibility rules. A national team normally consists of 5 debaters, while exact selection procedures are determined nationally. Strong English proficiency and substantial World Schools Debate preparation are expected.
