Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS)

Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is Yale University’s international academic enrichment programme for outstanding high school students from around the world. Students spend two weeks on Yale’s campus, participate in lectures and seminars, complete an interdisciplinary Capstone Project, and engage with peers from more than 150 countries. For 2027, YYGS is offered only in a residential, on-campus format.

For YYGS 2027, applicants must: • be 16–18 years old by July 19, 2027; • be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent); • graduate from high school in May/June 2028 or 2029 in the Northern Hemisphere; • have sufficient English proficiency for a rigorous academic programme; • be a first-time YYGS participant; • be prepared for an intensive two-week academic experience.
