Syracuse University Pre-College Programs / Summer College

Syracuse University’s pre-college programs allow high school students to experience college-level coursework, explore potential majors and gain exposure to university life. Summer College offers residential, online and selected on-location formats, with both credit and noncredit options.

College-level coursework; academic credit on eligible courses; residential campus experience; exposure to faculty and university resources; academic skill development; exploration of potential majors; extracurricular and campus activities. Merit scholarships are available for qualifying students.

For Summer College – On Campus: students must be 15+; generally rising Grades 10–12 for noncredit courses and Grades 11–12 for credit courses. 2026 graduates may also apply if they are not matriculating at Syracuse in the fall. Minimum GPA is 3.0/4.0. The application includes an online form, one 250–500-word essay, academic information and additional English/visa documentation for international students. Application fee: $65. Some courses have additional requirements.
